I’m not gonna lie: love asymmetry, off-the-shoulder tops, corsets, and puff sleeves like Kanye loves Kanye. What happens when all are combined is this Magda Butrym top in a milkmaid blouse form with a modern twist.

We’ve all been seeing the milkmaid blouse and prairie trend everywhere this summer. However, this Magda Butrym top alludes anything but a milkmaid or strict Victorian decency  with its sexy and rebellious asymmetric twist and corset detail. That’s one of the things I love the most about fashion: Things can always come and go, and when they return, they are deconstructed, reconstructed, reinterpreted, and consequently innovated to fit the spirit of our times. Well done, Ms. Butrym.

BTW, if you love asymmetric tops as much as I do and are looking for more ways to wear them, check out this post.
