If you are looking for a way to spice up your fall and winter looks, look no further than pairing your coats and jackets with ruffle hem pants.

Cold fall days leave you two options: the infallible outfit formula – coats or warm jackets + pants or risk catching a cold. However, who says colder weather dressing has to be boring? Add a ruffle here and there to your pants and it will instantly spice up your outfit.

I particularly love the way the frills act as a surprising element by peeping out from a maxi length coat. It does not only add more interest to the overall look, but you can also combine them with other kinds of shoes like, for instance, ankle or sock boots and mules. Extra points if your ruffle pants are slightly cropped, since they’ll be more versatile and easier to combine with different kinds of shoes.

In this case I’m wearing sandals as the temperatures were a lot warmer a couple of weeks back, when we shot the look, so excuse that. Weather appropiate outfits coming soon, so stay tuned.

By the way, if you are looking for more ways to style ruffle hem pants, check out this post.
