Where to stay in Ibiza:

Ibiza is quite a big island and choosing where to stay is not easy, since amazing beaches, towns and locations are spread all over the place. At the end, finding the best place to stay in Ibiza comes down to which activity you want to do the most. Is it the beach, partying or is it exploring towns and villages?

In our case, we wanted to go to the beach the most, but we also wanted to explore Ibiza Town, so we decided to stay in Talamanca (the very south), which is very near the Old Town and near the Port, where you can take a Ferry to Formentera. The Talamanca Beach is one of the best rated in whole Ibiza and the best one in the South area near Formentera.

We stayed at Hotel Simbad and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay at, since the prettiest beaches in Talamanca are visible from there and it takes a 5 minute walk to reach them. The view of whole Talamanca from our balcony in the hotel  is absolutely stunning and amazing restaurants are just around the corner. Also near Talamanca is Figueretas, which is also a great beach.

Where to eat:

I recommend most of the places along the Talamanca Beach area, particularly:

  1. La Bodega Talamanca. The food is beyond delicious flawless-looking. They serve all sorts of Spanish food ranging from Tapas to fish and all kinds of seafood. I strongly recommend their Ceviche and prawns.
  2. Talamanca Beach Club – Restaurante Italiano Pizzeria. Not sure whether they sell the best pizzas in Ibiza, but I can tell you that they are beyond tasty. We went twice to this restaurant and the atmosphere and location is so pretty, cozy, and romantic, that we enjoyed are time there the most out of all restaurants we were at.
  3. The Harbour Club. You can’t miss this place if you are in Talamanca, as the exterior looks amazing and very eyecatching. They have external cozy lounges and place even torches with fire to light the place in the night and it just looks so awesome! This place is originally based in Amsterdam and the restaurant offers all kinds of Sushi and a super fine and exquisite dishes.

What I love the most about the restaurants along the Talamanca beach is that they don’t feel like turistic restaurants, but are so cozy, romantic, and you see a lot of locals there, so we were really lucky to decide to stay nearby.

Ibiza Town: A Must See

I can’t tell you how much I loved the Ibiza Town and getting lost in its alleys and streets. It’s a beautiful medieval city with stunning and romantic buildings and a super charming atmosphere. I got reminded of Regensburg, which is in my opinion one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Walking through Ibiza Town’s Port and streets is a must during the afternoon.

On the next and last part of my Ibiza vacation posts, I will tell you everything about which places to visit and how it’s best to get to Formentera.

Wishing you all a lovely Tuesday. x
