Let’s face it: while checked suits are having a moment and are everywhere to be seen, twinning with your uni professor is simply not an option. However, there is an outfit formula that will add that effortlessly cool factor we all love (looking at you, Demna), which will take you from oh-so-serious to nonchalant. The formula consists in adding elements that would not typically be worn with a suit, e.g. a hoodie as top instead of a white button down shirt, sock or biker boots as footwear instead of loafers, and sleek, edgy sunglasses instead of nerd glasses.
So summing up: Suit + hoodie + sock boots + edgy eyewear is the downtown cool option on how to wear a check suit avoiding at all costs those undesired grandpa vibes.
