Slouchy boots have made a comeback. They are undeniably the shoes of the season together with sock boots and you can blame it on Anthony Vaccarello’s debut designs for Saint Laurent. But how to style slouchy boots in 2017 without looking like a fashion victim? I wouldn’t recommend wearing them with skinny jeans, even though, some do. I prefer showing off their silhouette in a subtle manner, like with midi skirts or dresses, or like in this case, with a ruffled midi skirt. Mini skirts could also work, but my favorite way would be with a side slit skirt or dress, since they provide elegance and refine the shape of the boots.

Personally, I prefer slouchy boots –trendy or not— to their tighter cousins, since I think they are more flattering and playful.
