Dorothee Schumacher Limitless Identity FW 2016 Showroom. Pics by me
Earlier this week, I had the chance to visit the Dorothee Schumacher FW 2016 collection showroom. The Limitless Identity collection was literally a textural paradise. You could find the coziest, softest, and fluffiest mohair and cashmere sweaters. There were maxi cardigans, dreamy shearling maxi coats, silky slip dresses, perfectly tailored wool coats, waistcoats, trousers, jackets, and even sports luxe inspired mesh pieces. Shoewise, the designer has been creating really strong pieces. I am coveting at least two pairs of boots.
I had so many favorites! Amongst them: the striped high shaft ankle boots, the blue shearling maxi coat, a wool maxi waistcoat, a mesh turtleneck, a minimalistic white jumpsuit, and an incredibly beautiful mohair sweater.
Even though I am not a printed boho maxi dress person, I have to admit they were among the most beautiful and flowy gowns I’ve ever seen.
The concept of the collection was mixing German traditional clothing with punk and streetwear elements. Therefore, you find details and prints of German culture mixed with elements of modern subcultures. Furthermore, it celebrates feminity and the female silhouette.
Scroll down to see my favorite pieces and the beautiful location in the heart of Munich.
