Functionalism, purism, and the implementation of geometry and primary colors in the garments was clear evidence of Alejandra Alonso’s main inspiration source for A Moi Fall 2016: the Bauhaus modernist movement of art and architecture. Tops, jackets and skirts were adorned with circular, triangular, and squared shaped motifs. Sleeves were flared as well as their matching cropped trousers. Furthermore, architectural design elements such as rhythm, repetition, and patterns added playfulness to the modern and minimalistic silhouettes.
